When Nicholas Meregali clinched the arm bar on Vagner Rocha on May 10 in Arlington, Texas in the College Park Center, he the No. 4-ranked No-Gi grappler n the world made WNO history at WNO 23. 

Meregali's arm bar capped a card that saw a 70% submission rate, the highest in WNO history. Not only that, but Rocha's son Achilles set the record for fastest submission in WNO history on the undercard. Rocha's daughter, Jasmine, also used a submission in her match to win.

Meregali's arm bar wasn't locked in till the final minutes of the 15-minute match, but it was a fitting end that saw all but one match on the main card end in a submission.
