F2W Pro 4 Makes History With First Women's Pro BJJ Main Event: Dern vs Snow
This Friday night in Denver, two women will take the mat for the first main event featuring women in professional jiu-jitsu history. Masters World champion from Easton BJJ, Rossie Snow, will face multiple-time World and Abu Dhabi Combat Club champion Mackenzie Dern in an eight-minute Gi match.

Snow was originally booked against Atos black belt Angelica Galvao, but after a knee injury sidelined her, Dern stepped up to take the open spot. Dern is more experienced than the hometown underdog, but Snow isn't light on accolades, either. Snow received her black belt in June of last year after placing second at brown belt Worlds. She went on to win the IBJJF Masters World Championship the following year at black belt.

Both women are coming off impressive performances at the 2016 IBJJF Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championships two weeks ago. Dern walked away with a gold and silver medal in her weight class and absolute division, respectively. Snow earned bronze in her weight category after falling to Michelle Nicollini

In the co-main event of the evening, Baret Yoshida will take on Denver's own Nobuo Yagai in a highly anticipated Gi super fight. The card also features a "who's who" of competitors from the active Colorado jiu-jitsu scene: John Combs, one of the most exciting brown belts out there; MMA veteran Nick Honstein; new black belt Todd Kornfield; and two of the best brown belts in the country, Brandon Russell versus Jeff Hammond.

Fight to Win Pro 4 goes down in Denver on April 8. Live streaming begins at 7PM CST.
