DJ Jackson Beats Garry Tonon, Wins $10,000 at Grappling Pro Championship
DJ Jackson gave a near-perfect performance at the Grappling Pro Championship today.

The Team Lloyd Irvin standout employed strong wrestling and smart use of the unique rules to win the $10k cash prize. He racked up points by making use of the push out rule and executed more than one throw that landed out of bounds (which counts for 2.).

The rules didn't always work in Jackson's favor, however. A scramble with Garry Tonon ended with the 'Danaher Death Squad' rep 2 points up, but a third point was tacked on at the end of the round due to a rule that awarded a point to the person who scored last in the round. This didn't faze Jackson and he aggressively came after Tonon for the rest of the semi-final match, eventually winning 7-2 after three five-minute rounds.

The final was much of the same, with Jackson proving very difficult to score on. He out-pointed Lucas 'Hulk' Barbosa of Atos 6-3 to win the $10,000 grand prize.
