The results from the Guatemala Open superfights are in, and they featured some heavy-hitting names winning via submissions. 

Among the most notable results were 10th Planet star Geo Martinez winning via heel hook over Sergio Hernandez.

Newcomer to the female black belt ranks, Ana Carolina Vieira (nickname 'Baby' and little sister to Rodolfo Vieira) tapped out world champion Luiza Monteiro with an arm triangle. It was Vieira's first match as a black belt since getting promoted at Worlds this year. 

Edwin Najmi continued his run of submissions over tough competitors, tapping out Kevin Mahecha with a straight ankle lock. 

Up and coming black belt John Combs scored one of the biggest wins of his career so far, submitting Richey Martinez of 10th Planet with an armbar from top, Kim Terra bounced back from injury with a solid submission win over Rafael 'Barata' Freitas.
