Garry Tonon and Mansher Khera are two of the finest grapplers to represent New York-based jiu-jitsu teams, and there is a strong chance they could face off once again at the upcoming ADCC North American Trials in New Jersey.

With Tonon repping Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Khera a black belt under Marcelo Garcia (located only four blocks from Renzo's gym), there is a healthy rivalry between the teams that has seen numerous members of the two opposing squads face off in grappling contests.

Tonon and Khera (then a brown belt) first met in Match 2015, competing in a local 20-minute superfight under ADCC rules. Tonon was victorious in an even match that ended 0-0 (1-0 adv).

The entire affair was controversial: Khera's teammates disputed the scoring, and there was a heated exchange between Tonon's and Khera's teammates Dillon Danis and Matheus Diniz.

Since then, the two grapplers have embarked on very different career paths.

Tonon has made a name for himself by competing in no-gi superfights and is a three-time EBI champion.

Khera is a silver and bronze medalist at the IBJJ No-Gi World Championships in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

There is a strong chance they may meet again at the ADCC North American Trials, which go down in New Jersey on November 19.

You can guarantee that Khera will be looking to settle the score, while Tonon won't be in a hurry to let anyone derail his hype train.

FloGrappling will live stream the entire event, and we'll upload all of the matches shortly after.
