She Snapped Her Finger Midway Through A Fight, But Now She's Got A Rematch
Don't be fooled by the photos, Monique Ricardo is a legit black belt and an IBJJF World and Pan champion.

Due to a freakish injury, one title escaped her grasp.

Battling Leanna Dittrich in the semifinals of the IBJJF Masters Worlds in August, Ricardo snapped her finger and couldn't continue.

It was a disappointing end for both competitors, but now they've got a chance to resolve things.

Monique Ricardo will square off with Leanna Dittrich in the main event of Fight To Win Pro 22 in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, Jan. 21.

This is the third time in Fight To Win history that a female black belt bout has headlined a pro event, following Mackenzie Dern versus Rossie Snow at Fight To Win Pro 4 and Mackenzie Dern vs. Talita Alencar at Fight To Win Pro 12.

Ricardo is a 2016 IBJJF world no-gi champion (masters division) at both middleweight and in the absolute division.

Dittrich is a two-time IBJJF Masters Worlds absolute champ. She earned her black belt under Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu.
