10 Days Out: The Grand Slam World Jiu-Jitsu Tour Arrives in Abu Dhabi

The 2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Slam World Jiu-Jitsu Tour visits Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates for the first time on January 13-14, and some of the best black belts in the world will compete for massive cash prizes. You can watch the event live-streamed or later on demand on FloGrappling. 

The IPIC Arena in Zayed Sports City will host the two-day event, featuring both gi and no-gi action. Athletes will compete for their share of over US$150,000 in prizes.

Big names such as Felipe Pena, Gabriel Arges, Mackenzie Dern, Marcio Andre, Nathiely Jesus, Edwin Najmi, Roberto Satoshi, Paulo Miyao, Faisal Al Ketbi, Xande Ribeiro and many others are confirmed to compete.

In addition to the prizes on offer, athletes will compete to earn valuable points in the UAEJJF 2016-17 rankings, which offers a massive $25,000 for the top-ranked male black belt of the season! 

No-Gi divisions start on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 2 PM, and gi divisions begin on Sunday, Jan. 14 at 11 AM (all times Gulf Time Zone, UTC +4).
