Submission Underground 4 saw a no-gi submission-only superfight between rising jiu-jitsu superstar Dillon Danis and MMA veteran champion Jake Shields.

Shields’ wrestling and Danis’s submissions proved to cancel each other out in the regulation time period. Shields attacked with a nice single leg but Danis was always hunting for the neck.
Dillon’s closest submission attempt was a jumping guillotine in the final minute of the match but Shields powered out.
The overtime rounds proved explosive and among some of the fastest in the SUG cage. Neither man could secure position for longer than 30 seconds.
Jake Shields was declared the winner via fastest escape time over the three rounds.
Miyao attached himself to Faber’s back during the regulation period via a leg attack into crab ride, but Faber’s submission defense proved too strong.
The match as decided in overtime with Miyao escaping the quickest over three rounds.
