Roberto Cyborg puts 27 points on DJ Jackson, takes quadruple goldThe black belt absolute final saw a showdown between local hero Roberto 'Cyborg' Abreu and DJ Jackson of Team Lloyd Irvin.
Cyborg owns Fight Sports, one of the biggest and most successful South Florida teams. In front of his friends and students, he played his trademark heavy yet agile top game to put a whopping 27 points on the game DJ Jackson.

Marcio Andre in savage form ahead of WorldsNova Uniao standout Marcio Andre is firing on all cylinders ahead of the World Championships. The 2017 Pan silver medalist.
In the first of his two matches he went 19-0 against Julio Reyes before finishing with a leg lock, later putting 20 points on Victor de Matos of Zenith BJJ in the final.
Atos crew clean up in San DiegoWith a massive 426 points in the academy standing, Atos Jiu-Jitsu stood in first place with over double the points of second place Gracie Humaita.
Led by star black belts Andre Galvao, Lucas 'Hulk' Barbosa, Ary Faria and of course 'new recruit' Erberth Santos (via affiliated team Almeida JJ), the Atos team took six out of a possible 10 gold medals in the male divisions.
Backed up by a ton of medals of every color at blue, purple and brown belt, the SoCal-based team proved their dominance on the local circuit just weeks ahead of the IBJJF World Championships.
Beatriz wins another significant gold ahead of Worlds, beats MackenzieBeatriz Mesquita picked up double gold, taking a win over Mackenzie Dern in the absolute division.
Mesquita competed at lightweight, while Dern was signed up two weight classes above her natural weight class at middleweight (she usually competes at feather).
Beatriz win the absolute final via points, going 12-2 versus Dern. Mesquita is on a roll going into Worlds, having won golds at the Abu Dhabi World Pro and at the Brazilian nationals.
