Renzo Gracie Receives Coral Belt From Rickson Gracie
Renzo Gracie has leveled up to one of the most advanced ranks in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Renzo Gracie, one of the most influential personalities in the history of jiu-jitsu, was awarded his coral belt today from Rickson Gracie in a ceremony held in Abu Dhabi.
A coral belt is a 7th-degree black belt, awarded to tho those who have been active black belts for over 30 years. The IBJJF requires a minimum of 7 years of training and teaching at the black and red belt level before progressing to the next rank.
Renzo, a two-time ADCC World Champion (1998, 2000), was inducted into the ADCC Hall of Fame in September 2022. He is also a Pride and UFC veteran.
