The 170lb division will finally have a new champion as Tezos WNO 20: Night of Champions will feature a 4-man tournament to crown a titleholder for the vacant championship. The bracket will feature all WNO veterans, ADCC medalists and Trials winners, and 4 of the top-ranked 170 athletes in grappling.

The competitors on October 1st will be:

• No.2 Mica Galvao (Melqui Galvao Jiu-Jitsu)
• No.4 PJ Barch (10th Planet)
• No.10 Andrew Tackett (Brazilian Fight Factory)
• No.14 (at 185lbs) Jacob Rodriguez (B-Team)

One of these four men will leave Houston, TX with the belt, though brackets and match order have yet to be announced. Each match will follow traditional WNO rules, with 15 minute rounds throughout.

About Tezos WNO 20: Night of Champions

Tezos WNO 20: Night of Champions presented by Fat Tire will take place in Houston, TX on Sunday, Oct. 1. Tickets are on sale now to watch it live in person at the Bayou Music Center. This week, FloGrappling will release matchups including title defenses and vacant title brackets.

In total, six belts are on the line, including the heavyweight strap, up for grabs in the main event bout between Gordon Ryan and Patrick Gaudio.
