Diogo 'Baby Shark' Reis is coming back to Tezos WNO to defend his 145lb championship against rival Diego 'Pato' Oliveira on Tezos WNO 21: Marinho vs Lovato Jr. These two top athletes have met in high profile matches in gi and no-gi, through different rulesets and promotions, and now will look to settle the score on the WNO mats in Austin, TX this Nov. 30.

The rivalry between Pato and Baby Shark has been one of the closest in the lighter weight classes the last few years, especially considering their elite level of accomplishments. In 2022, they met in the ADCC South American Trials finals, with Reis taking a referee's decision after overtime. They both would eventually finish top-4 in the world, with Baby Shark winning ADCC and Pato securing bronze.

This year, they fought in the IBJJF Pan finals with Baby Shark again taking the match on advantages. However, Pato has defeated Baby Shark at the last two year's IBJJF World Championships, including this year where he would go on to win gold.
Things Came Down To The Wire At 2023 Worlds
Baby Shark recently captured the title at WNO 20, defeating Gabriel Sousa and Keith Krikorian back to back to earn the championship. The Brazilian-based competitor has been nearly unstoppable in no-gi action, also winning the 2022 ADCC World Championship at -66kg, and is currently ranked first in his weight class and third pound-for-pound. Pato comes into the matchup ranked fifth in the world at 145lbs.
This match promises to be a close contest between two of the best in the world, guys who have gone back and forth all over the world. Who will emerge victorious when they come to Austin, TX on Nov. 30 to figure out Who's Number One.
