Kody Steele, grappler turned MMA fighter, has now moved to 6-0 in his professional fighting career with a third round TKO over Alejandro Martinez at CFFC 89. After the fight, which happened on Steele's 29th birthday, Kody called for greater opportunities in major leagues like the UFC.

Kody Steele is a long-time grappling fan-favorite who is known for his aggression, high-amplitude slams, superlative wrestling, and toughness. He has been transitioning to MMA for several years while still taking high-profile grappling bouts like competing at WNO 21 against Mica Galvao for the welterweight title. Kody has primarily represented Fight Factory in Austin, though recently he moved to Las Vegas to focus on MMA.

This match came at a catchweight of 162.5lbs, with Steele projecting as a future lightweight in elite MMA competition. After his fight, Kody reaffirmed his commitment to fighting with a BMF attitude, and called for an opportunity in the UFC or the UFC's Contender Series. Kody is one of UFC Fight Pass's athletes to watch in 2024.
