Onnit Invitational Competitor Profile: Jose Portillo

The Onnit Invitational is an 8-Man submission-only tournament to be held under EBI rules and will feature 6 of Texas' top jiu-jitsu competitors and two 10th Planet all-stars.

“I would describe my style as a pressure passer,” says Jose. “I like to play a lot of guard, but I don’t like to focus on any style in particular, I like to be free-flowing and adapt to any position and I think anybody should be able to do so.”

“Especially with the rule set, you have to hunt for the submission. One of us is going to be submitted, it’s either me or them.”
