Mackenzie Dern Excited For Role In First-Ever Women's BJJ Main Event

Dern Wants To See More Women's Main Events

The Gracie Humaita superstar will be half of the first-ever women's main event for Friday night's Fight 2 Win Pro 4 card in Denver. After her impressive performance at the 2016 IBJJF Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championships last month, we talked to Mackenzie Dern to get her thoughts on the fight, its significance and her opponent, Rossie Snow.

I don't know Rossie. I never fought her before. I think that is more dangerous because I don't know what she is like; I don't know what she does. But I'm just going to go and do my best. As long as I am 100% prepared to be my best, then I think it will be a good fight for sure.
History will be made on Friday night when Dern and Snow step onto the mat together with the hope that this will herald in many more women's main events.

I'm really excited it's the first women's main event. The card isn't all women, there are guys too, but the main event is women. I'm so excited to be a part of that. I hope it'll be a good matchup, and that people will want to keep doing more women's main events.
