Breaking news: Erberth Santos was put out of the Copa Podio Heavyweight Grand Prix with an injured knee following his match with Alliance brown belt Isaque Bahiense.

Santos missed out on his hotly anticipated rematch with Leandro Lo and was inconsolable upon learning he could not continue in the Grand Prix. He was carried out of the arena by his teammates, unable to walk unassisted.

Santos had three matches before exiting the GP, beating Cassio Francis 0-0 (3-0 advantages), submitting Fellipe Trovo with a toehold and beating Isaque Bahiense 0-0 (2-0 advantages).

Santos appeared to injure his knee in his match with Bahiense during a sequence that saw Santos attack for a calf-crush. As Bahiense escaped the position, Santos tweaked his knee and was seen limping during the match and as he left the stage.
