Grappling Pro has announced an all-women event for 2017 that will see the winner take home a grand prize of $10,000. 

The no-gi event, held under the unique ruleset Grappling Pro unveiled just last month at its inaugural event, will go down in February. 

Grappling Pro Championship burst onto the no-gi jiu-jitsu scene with an eight-man welterweight tournament last month that saw DJ Jackson beat Lucas Barbosa and Garry Tonon to win. 

December will see Grappling Pro return with a heavyweight tournament, featuring Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu, Luiz Panza, Mahamed Aly, Joao Gabriel Rocha, Jimmy Federich, Bruno Bastos, Jared Dopp, and Paulo Ribeiro. 

Applications are being taken from 125-135lb elite female grapplers for the event.
