Online Deadline For UWW Grappling Team USA Trials Ends Tomorrow! Sign Up!
The event features a chance for the winners to represent the United States at the Grappling World Championships this year in Baku, Azerbaijan, October 18-21. Both gi and no-gi styles will be represented.
This weekend USA Wrestling will host its U.S. Grappling Team Trials April 27-29 in Las Vegas, Nevada and you can watch the entire event LIVE right here on FloGrappling!
The event features a chance for the winners to represent the United States at the Grappling World Championships this year in Baku, Azerbaijan, October 18-21. Both gi and no-gi styles will be represented at the tournament with the Gi competition taking place on Thursday, April 27 and the No-Gi divisions set for Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29.
Grappling is a style of submission wrestling with gi and no-gi variants, that combines techniques commonly found in freestyle wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, luta livre, catch wrestling, judo and sambo. The aim of the contest is to control the opponent on the ground and submit him using chokes or locks.
With a large array of grapplers already signed up to compete, this tournament is sure to be unlike any other you've seen before.
On-line registration will remain open through Tuesday, April 25 at 11:00am. Grapplers will still be able to register onsite at registration.
