With over 25 matches on the card, South Florida's premier no-gi grappling event returns on May 27, and you can watch it live or on demand on FloGrappling.

Grappling Pro Championship uses a unique ruleset influenced and inspired by various grappling sports. Points for takedowns, sweeps, and position control are all present, but so are points for ring-outs -- an intriguing new rule that has changed the dynamic of how grapplers approach the contest.

So far, Grappling Pro has held two 8-man tournaments (with a few superfights). This weekend's show changes pace, featuring one-on=-one matches that range from teens to experienced black belts.

Highlights to look out for include the rising talent Ian Murray, a local up-and-coming phenom from Gracie Tampa in Florida who has been making noise with his aggressive leglock style -- he submitted a number of opponents at the Abu Dhabi West Coast trials in less time than a regulation match!

The heading bout will be a 265lb contest between veteran Bruno Bastos and local favorite Kevin Gallagher.
