Savage Submissions That Turned 3 Women Into Black Belt World Champions
There was so much action from the IBJJF World Championships that it was easy to miss some of the standout moments.

Three of those must-see moments came in the women's black belt finals, with three women (two Brazilian, one Japanese) being crowned champions thanks to their finishing skills.

Rikako Yuasa of Japan won her second straight IBJJF World title by putting Rayanne dos Santos to sleep with a lightning-fast bow and arrow choke in the rooster weight final. (Correction: Rikako is a three-time IBJJF champion, having won in 2015, 2016, and 2017).

Nathiely de Jesus became a black belt world champ by taking out veteran Andresa Correa with a choke. It was Nathiely's first Worlds as a black belt, having won double gold last year as a brown belt.

Tayane Porfirio capped off an incredible year by doing the double IBJJF grand slam -- gold medals in her weight division and the absolute category in the four major tournaments (Europeans, Pans, Brazilian Nationals, and Worlds). Regardless of her size, Porfirio has a technical game, and she showed it with a nice lasso guard to kneebar sequence.
