4 Fire Matches From IBJJF 2017 No-Gi Pan Championships
The IBJJF 2017 Pan No-Gi Championships went down last weekend in New York City and saw some of the best athletes from around the world throw down for gold.

Here are four powerhouse matches that demonstrate the beauty and ferocity of jiu-jitsu.

Dustin Akbari vs. Jon Satava

Dustin Akbari is the Team Alpha Male (Urijah Faber's MMA team) grappling head coach and a Fight To Win Pro veteran. He has an explosive style, great wrestling, and nasty leg attacks. With all that said, we didn't expect the finish that came in his match with Jon Satava in the back belt absolution division.

Oliver Taza vs. Paulo Gabriel

This was a matchup of two brown belts on the verge of something big -- Paulo Gabriel is a Pan Am champion and Oliver Taza is a ADCC veteran and superfight winner. The back-and-forth action between these two raged until the dying moments of the round. A super technical battle, we'd love to see Gabriel and Taza meet again.

Amanda Monteiro vs. Pati Fontes

Plainly stated, Amanda Monteiro dismantled the two-time no-gi world champion Pati Fontes in this match. Keep an eye out on this rising GF Team star.

Jackson Sousa vs. Dante Leon

Another match that only the absolute division can deliver: Middleweight bruiser Dante Leon ran into heavyweight monster Jackson Sousa. This was a great match on the feet and on the ground.
