After 10th World No-Gi Gold Medal, Caio Terra Confirms: 'I'm Done'
Speaking to FloGrappling shortly after his record-setting performance, the 31-year-old revealed he’s not yet retired.
Caio Terra confirmed that he’s done with No-Gi Worlds after winning his 10th straight title at last weekend's tournament in Anaheim, CA. Speaking to FloGrappling shortly after his record-setting performance, the 31-year-old revealed he’s not yet retired and left the door open for future competition.
By winning the rooster weight division at the 2017 IBJJF World No-Gi Championships, Terra extended a record that's not even close to being matched — 10 consecutive gold medals at the No-Gi World Championships (2008-2017).
Describing his decision to stop competing at No-Gi Worlds as “a new chapter in my life,” Terra did not rule out competing in the gi or in superfights. Terra is a defending Fight To Win Pro (gi and no-gi) champion.
