Two Titans: Lovato Jr. & Yuri Simoes

Lovato Jr. wrote history as the first American to win the Brazilian Nationals. Since then, he has cemented his spot as a top competitor by earning every major IBJJF title, making multiple ADCC appearances, and most recently defending his F2W No-Gi title for two years against tough opponents like Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu, Tim Spriggs, and 3x IBJJF No-Gi World champion Josh Hinger.

Lovato Jr. is a machine, always on the prowl for competition, he sustains a packed jiu-jitsu competition schedule while simultaneously maintaining an undefeated professional MMA career.

As the current 210lb Gi and No-Gi champion, Rafael Lovato Jr. may seem unstoppable on the Fight 2 Win stage, but no one is more ready to dethrone the champ than pound-for-pound Flograppling ranked 2 contender Yuri Simoes.

Simoes is a 2x ADCC champion and a two-time IBJJF No-Gi World absolute division champion. The pair have met twice at the 2012 and 2014 IBJJF Pans, where Simoes defeated Lovato Jr. in the gi via advantages. Will the dynamic shift in the sub-only, no-gi format? No matter what, it is definitely a matchup you don’t want to miss.

Formiga, Jackson, Ribamar, & Nathiely to Fill out Blockbuster Card

F2W 104 features two additional title matches in the gi.

Rafael Formiga (Soul Fighters), an IBJJF Master World champion, will meet F2W veteran Nick Green for the Masters Welterweight title, and current IBJJF World Champion Nathiely De Jesus (RPBJJ) takes the stage to defend her F2W welterweight title against seasoned pro and former IBJJF World champion Talita Nogueira (NS Brotherhod).

Nogueria has been absent from competition in recent years, so fans will be excited to see her return against a current women’s jiu-jitsu phenom.

Ribarmar; victorious.

Joining what will be an absolutely stacked stage is a 185lb gi match between DJ Jackson (TLI) and Manuel Ribamar (RPBJJ), both of whom have been on a tear this year. Jackson and Ribamar have met three times in the gi: Ribamar claiming the victory twice, including their most recent matchup at the middleweight King of Mats. Will Ribamar stay on top or will Jackson even the score?
