ADCC has never looked better and it's all thanks to Mo Jassim. Last year, they raised the bar and made ADCC 2019 a true spectacle for grappling fans. Now spectators are psyched for next year's event and are highly curious about what the future of grappling will look like.

What Should Fans Expect For ADCC 2021?

While details are being finalized this month, Mo Jassim has leaked what grappling fans should expect:

"ADCC Worlds 2021 will be finalized this month 100%. The venue is world-class, we will have shit loads of pyro, lasers, ADCC billboards on the Las Vegas strip and a performer, this will be more than double what ADCC 2019 was."

Who Will Get An Invite?

Finally, ADCC will get the love it deserves! After years of neglecting the production value, it's satisfying to see that the most prestigious grappling tournament in the world will have production quality which reflects that. Now competitors are more eager than ever to step on the ADCC stage. However, Mo has made it known that entering the tournament will be more challenging than in years past:

"In terms of invites, unless you are the current world champion or placed in top four in 2019, I wouldn't bank on an invite. For invites the main criteria will be the following in no particular order;

  1. Ex ADCC champions
  2. Competitors who have won previous trials
  3. Competitors who previously medaled at ADCC
  4. ADCC veterans
  5. Competitors who participated in this years and next years trials."

When Do ADCC Trials Begin?

For everyone who does not qualify, expect to battle it out in one of the most intense ADCC trials we've ever seen. This will be one for the history books and competitors worldwide are preparing an all-out war. If you're interested in earning your spot at the trials, here is the estimated schedule:

"As of now European trials start in October, USA [will start in] November, Asia in December and Brazil early next year, so start preparing when you can."

Mo Jassim's Mic Drop Moment

Expect ADCC 2021 to be the most badass grappling tournament in history. While Mo has forever changed this tournament, he has announced that he will be stepping down after this year. However, before he leaves, he plans on giving fans a tournament they will never forget.

"Since this will be my last ADCC, I am treating this as my mic drop event — this one will be for the history books."
