The Danaher Death Squad is an elite group of grapplers who train under John Danaher and represent him in competition. Membership of the DDS is reserved only for selected students who train directly under John.

    Ethan Crelinsten is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt from Montreal Canada. Born on May 14, 1994, Crelinsten trains under coach John Danaher and represents the Danaher Death Squad. Known as a no-gi competitor, Crelinsten is a veteran of events such as ADCC, WNO, KASAI, Jitzking, Polaris and more. He trained extensively with coach Firas Zahabi at the TriStar gym, going from white to brown belt under the supervision of Zahabi.

    Nick Rodriguez is a purple belt in jiu-jitsu, and an ADCC silver medalist from New Jersey. He is a member of the Danaher Death Squad. Born in 1996, "Nicky Rod" began practicing jiu-jitsu in 2018, and won the 2019 ADCC East Coast Trials with less than two years of jiu-jitsu experience, earning entry into the prestigious ADCC Championships, and subsequently taking silver at the tournament.

    Nicky Ryan– born June 27, 2001– is a jiu-jitsu black belt from New Jersey known as a no-gi grappler who made history as the youngest male athlete to compete at the ADCC World Championships.

    Garry Tonon is a submission specialist and black belt under Tom DeBlass and Ricardo Almeida. Based in New Jersey and dividing his training between the Renzo Gracie Academy in Manhattan and his own Ocean County Jiu-Jitsu gym, Tonon is well-known for his 'take on all-comers' competitive nature. He regularly competes under many different rulesets, including IBJJF, ADCC, submission-only and more.

    Gordon Ryan– born July 8, 1995– is a jiu-jitsu black belt from New Jersey best known as a no-gi submission specialist and three-time ADCC World champion. Ryan won gold in 2017 at 88kg and returned in 2019 to win both the -99kg category and the absolute (openweight).
