2019 FloGrappling Jiu-Jitsu Rankings

After winning both Worlds and Pans, Matheus Gabriel of Checkmat is the undisputed no.1 featherweight in the world. A quick look at the list of names he has beaten in the last 6 months speaks volumes as to the rookie black belt's abilities.

He has wins against the 2018 World champ Jamil Hill-Taylor, 2018 World silver medalist Leo Saggioro, veteran Osvaldo 'Queixinho', and his gold medal came via a submission victory over 2016 World silver medalist Marcio Andre.

Pan silver medalist Shane Jamil Hill-Taylor missed Worlds due to an unfortunate bout of appendicitis just a week out from the tournament, but his silver medal at Worlds sees him remain high in the ranking.
