Overall Grappling Pound-For-Pound Rankings

Grappling Pound-For-Pound

Here are our first ever grappling rankings, combining accomplishments in both gi and no-gi grappling. For these rankings an athlete needs to have competed in both gi and no-gi competition in the last year to be eligible. Here's a rundown of some of the ranked athletes accomplishments -

Marcus Almeida - Won the most prestigious gi event, taking double gold at Worlds. Finished with a bronze and a silver at ADCC though, which puts him slightly behind Kaynan in the rankings.

Felipe Pena - 2019 gi champion, his second gi world title. Also fought in the ADCC superfight against Galvao as he won the absolute at ADCC 2017.

Paulo Miyao - Closed out Worlds in the gi with his brother Joao, then went on to finish third at ADCC. Gi world champ, two-time ADCC medalist, tons of accomplishments in both styles.

JT Torres - Two-time ADCC champ. Him and Lepri were basically a tie in my opinion, with Lepri winning gi Worlds while JT won their division at ADCC. JT is also a Pan champion and Worlds medalist in the gi.
