Alexander Trans Says Size Makes A Difference Ahead Of Copa Podio Heavyweight Grand Prix

Trans Says Size Makes A Difference For HW GP

Alexander Trans is one of the favorites to deliver a strong performance at the Copa Podio Heavyweight Grand Prix. The Danish black belt will compete in the same group as Diego Borges, Gabriel Fedor, Nelton Pontes and Rodrigo Cavaca.

Size, especially weight and strength, makes a difference. But jiu-jitsu is a bit different, it’s a sport where you can’t just look at the heaviest guy is going to win. The smaller guys are faster and more flexible.

I think everybody is tough and a great athlete. The only one I’ve fought before in my group is Cavaca, we fought 4 times. They have their different styles and I’ve studied them but I’m going to focus on my own game. It’s going to be tough but I’m confident.
