Dillon Danis Wants To Show Jake Shields ‘Real American Jiu-Jitsu’
“My style is unpredictable, I come with submissions from every angle,” says Dillon Danis. Never one to hold back when it comes to what he thinks about his opponents, if there’s something on this young black belt’s mind then he’s going to let you know. 
Scheduled to appear in the main event of Submission Underground 4 versus Jake Shields, Danis doesn't mince his words. “I feel like Jake is on my level at all. I don’t think anybody is, honestly.”
It’s a bold statement for a young grappler still making his name in the business, but Danis is used to people taking issue with his comments.
A lot of people like to put me down because I’m confident, but it’s just who I am. They’re gonna see this is the real shit.

Danis knows how tough Shields is and while he may not out-and-out say it, he respects the veteran black belt and MMA fighter’s credentials – even if he still feels he’ll come out on top.
“This Jake fight is a big goal for me. I think it’s one of my biggest jiu-jitsu fights to date. People say he’s one of the best jiu-jitsu guys to ever fight in MMA. I go out there and beat him, I show him what the real American jiu-jitsu is.
The bad blood between these two is no secret. The rivals’ issues stem from the infamous UFC press conference where water bottles and cups of coffee were flying between Team McGregor and the Skrap Pack.
That incident is fresh in both men’s minds, and Danis knows Shields will use this opportunity to settle the score.
