The ADCC (Abu Dhabi Combat Club) World Championships are widely regarded as one of the most prestigious events in submission grappling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). 

Competitors from around the globe gather to showcase their skills, technique, and grappling prowess. One crucial aspect of the ADCC World Championships is the division of competitors into different weight classes, ensuring fair and competitive matchups. 

ADCC World Championships Men's Weight Classes:

  • -66 kg (145.5 lbs)
  • -77 kg (169.75 lbs)
  • -88 kg (194 lbs)
  • -99 kg (218 lbs)
  • +99 kg (+218 lbs)

ADCC World Championships Women's Weight Classes:

  • -55 kg (121.25 lbs)
  • -65kg (143.25 lbs)
  • +65 kg (+143.25 lbs)

ADCC Open Weight Classes

At the ADCC Open events, anyone is allowed to enter into the division of their choosing for experience in the ruleset. Those tournaments happen regularly around the country and world and use a differ set of weight classes for competition.

Men's Divisions

  • -60 kg (132.25 lbs)
  • -65 kg (143.25 lbs)
  • -70 kg (154.25 lbs)
  • -76 kg (165.5 lbs)
  • -83 kg (183 lbs)
  • -91 kg (200.5 lbs)
  • -100 kg (220.5lbs)
  • +100 kg (+220.5lbs)

Women's Divisions

  • -50 kg (110.25 lbs)
  • -55 kg (121.25 lbs
  • -60 kg (132.25 lbs)
  • -65 kg (145.5 lbs)
  • -70 kg (154.25 lbs)
  • +70 kg (+154.25 lbs)

These weight classes allow athletes to compete against opponents with similar body sizes, promoting fair competition and creating an environment where technical skills often become the deciding factor.
