The ten-year anniversary of Carlson Gracie's passing was met with a touching tribute at the 2016 World Master Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF Championship in Las Vegas. 

Gracie founded what was once a powerhouse jiu-jitsu team, responsible for claiming many team trophies from the 1970s  though to the 1990s. 

As the team slowly broke up and new teams were formed by former members, the once-dominant name was seldom seen on the podium when tournament team trophies were presented. 

That changed today as teams with origins that date back to Carlson Gracie's original squad all elected to compete under the same banner to mark the 10-year anniversary of his death. 

The result was a landslide win in both the male and female categories, with Carlson Gracie Team taking both team trophies. 

Carlson Gracie Jr accepted the trophies in front of a jubilant crowd of supporters. Watch the video below.
