The Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship is regarded as one of the most prestigious tournaments in jiu-jitsu. Not only does the title itself warrant respect, but the cash prizes available to every division make it a largely rewarding opportunity. 

This year the event will be held at the famous IPIC Arena from April 18-22 as part of the larger 2-week Abu Dhabi World Jiu Jitsu Festival (April 10-22).  

On a professional level, black belts are given the chance to be compensated financially with prizes well into the thousands, no matter the placement on the podium. And the lower belts all benefit as well. Last year the male black belt absolute champions earned $30,000 USD while the blue belt male absolute champions still pocketed $3000 USD. 


The tournament is open to anyone in the world with a passport and the means to get to Abu Dhabi, UAE. It is customary, however, to earn a travel package via winning at a National Pro Championship or International Pro Championship. 

These packages offer airfare to Abu Dhabi from the city in which the package was won, hotel stay, three meals a day, any visas, and the tournament entrance fee. 

Once in Abu Dhabi you will be able to train amongst legends and international visitors, compete against the highest level in the world, and have a chance to earn some cash in the process. Many who attend the tournament return every year, citing it as one of the best experiences in their competitive careers.

In order to win a travel package, you can sign up for any of the remaining trials that are open to your nationality (some are available for all nationalities, and others to a select continent).
