2021 IBJJF World Champion Diego "Pato" Oliveira has officially joined Art of Jiu Jitsu, joining forces with four time world champion Guilherme Mendes at the Costa Mesa academy. The news was announced by the Mendes brothers official instagram account.

Pato had previously been representing Dream Art after putting in an exceptional career in the colored belts under Cicero Costha. Now linking up with Gui Mendes, who won his world titles in Pato's division of light-featherweight, the duo intend on taking Pato's success to the next level -

"I would like to officially welcome Diego Pato to the team. Diego has been training with us for the last couple of months and we have great plans for this year. The main goal is to reach a whole new level and dominate the division in 2023." Gui Mendes
