B-Team has announced they will replace Team New Wave in the upcoming Quintet event, after injury forced a withdrawal. The Austin, TX-based team made the announcement on their instagram this morning in a Chicago Bulls-style entrance video, which also shared their team: Craig Jones, Nick Rodriguez, Nicky Ryan, Jozef Chen, and Jacob Rodriguez.

Quintet president Kazushi Sakuraba made the original announcement yesterday that Team New Wave had withdrawn, citing injury that left them unable to field a team in time.

Quintet operates as a team-on-team match, with competitors needing to weigh under a certain total limit. Athletes will stay on the mat until they lose or fight to a draw, meaning one athlete could potentially defeat a team by themselves. The return of the event will feature these teams:

• Team Polaris - Eoghan O'Flanagan, Owen Livesey, Mateusz Szczeciński, Santeri Lilius, Gregor Gracie
• Team 10th Planet - PJ Barch, Richie Martinez, Geo Martinez, Kyle Boehm, Amir Allam
• Team Sakuraba - Kazushi Sakuraba, Haisam Rida, Tomoshige Sera, Daisuke Nakamura, TBD
• B-Team - Craig Jones, Nick Rodriguez, Nicky Ryan, Jacob Rodriguez, Jozef Chen
