The 2024 IBJJF European Championships are in full swing in Paris, France and the black belts are finally set to take the mats on Friday and Saturday. With the IBJJF gi calendar finally kicking off at this Grand Slam event, this is the first chance for many of the best in the world to begin their journey to the World Championships.

The roster here is packed with returning champions and stars from around the world, including Mica Galvao, Gabrielli Pessanha, Fellipe Andrew, Erich Munis, and more. Every single division has great depth of talent and we are expecting the year to kick off strong.

Here is a list of some of the most notable black belts that are entered in the tournament, along with their mat assignments for their first divisional bouts of the event. Some athletes may still enter the absolute and compete prior to their weight class beginning.

IBJJF Europeans 2024 Black Belt Schedule

Of note - the black belts will first contest the open, then each men's division on Friday will compete through to the quarterfinals (meaning top 8 advance to day 2). For the women, all the matches up until the finals will be contested on Fridays, meaning only the top 2 advance to day 2. If an athlete's first match is on Saturday, that is noted.
