Elisabeth Clay is set to make the first defense of her WNO Championship against young phenom Helena Crevar at WNO 27, April 18th in Round Rock, TX
Elisabeth Clay is set to defend her WNO Featherweight Championship against Helena Crevar at WNO 27, April 18th in Round Rock, TX. Clay and Crevar are two of the top women in all of grappling and they will now face off in 15-minute submission only rules to determine who is the best. The evening will be headlined by ADCC Absolute Champion Kaynan Duarte taking on CJI Champion Nick Rodriguez in a heavyweight main event that is the biggest match in WNO history.

This is a rematch between two, who faced off a few years ago at an ADCC Trials. Clay won that match by submission over a 15 year old Helena, who has clearly leveled up in the proceeding years. Elisabeth herself is no stranger to major success at a young age, being the youngest person to ever win ADCC Trials. Now we get another round between two of grappling's fiercest submission hunters.
Elisabeth Clay won the WNO title against Brianna Ste-Marie, claiming a decision in a match she won with her leg lock attempts and positioning. After a break from competition in 2024 to welcome her first child, Clay returned with a bang and won double gold at No-Gi Pans and an IBJJF No-Gi World Championship to close the year.
Helena has been on an absolute tear the last few years as she has developed into one of grappling's top pound-for-pound talents. She became ADCC's youngest medalist ever last year with silver in the -65kg and followed that up by claiming Polaris gold in the UK. The New Wave athlete's guard has become nearly unstoppable, with plenty of offense to the upper and lower body.
This is the last match for the main card of WNO 27 and the lone title match on the card. We will have a full undercard coming soon for everyone, featuring some of the best talent from the Austin area.
