Jonnatas Gracie and Mica Galvão are set to face off in the main event of WNO 28 for the WNO Middleweight Championship in a major divisional matchup between the Brazilian champions. It will all be going down on June 13th in Costa Mesa, CA, with some more major matchup announcements coming up soon.

Jonnatas Gracie is the WNO middleweight champion, having won the vacant title by dominant decision over Jacob Couch. He has been on an incredible run, winning 33 of his last 36 matches with appearances at ADCC Worlds, WNO, UFC FPI, and an unbeaten run through 2022 IBJJF No-Gi Worlds. The AOJ representative brings incredible pressure, physical power, and tactical strength to every match. This match marks his first title defense.

Mica, the challenger, is moving up from his home at 170lbs where he is the WNO Champion and reigning ADCC World Champion. He had a legendary 2024 where he won the Super Grand Slam and has continued that success into 2025. The Manaus-based star is known for his flashy submissions, incredible dexterity, and smooth overall style.

They were both last in action at the BJJ Stars 15 Grand Prix, a tournament which Mica won with a devastating armbar in the finals.
