WNO 28 has undergone a last-minute change as the originally scheduled heavyweight title clash between Luke Griffith and Felipe Pena has been postponed. An injury has left one of our combatants unable to perform on June 13th and the matchup to determine the new heavyweight champion will have to wait.

In response, FloGrappling has swiftly added a compelling new matchup to the WNO 28 card: Lucas "Hulk" Barbosa will now face rising contender Dory Aoun in a feature bout that evening. Barbosa, a veteran of both gi and no-gi competition with a reputation for explosive power and confident swagger, steps in on short notice, adding a layer of intensity and showmanship to the event. Hulk is a multiple time IBJJF World Champion and ADCC Medalist, and just last year made the semifinals of the inaugural Craig Jones Invitational.

Dory Aoun, a standout in the IBJJF and ADCC circuits, has been steadily building his reputation with a string of impressive performances. Known for his fan-friendly style and willingness to throw down anytime, Aoun will face one of the toughest challenges of his career in Barbosa—a seasoned competitor with experience against the sport’s elite. This is Dory's second time on WNO after a debut win last year against Kyle Chambers.

WNO 28 remains a must-watch event for jiu-jitsu fans who want to witness top-tier action and high-stakes competition. The main event will feature the 2024 FloGrappling male grappler of the year Mica Galvão as he attempts to capture a new championship when he bumps up to face WNO 185lb Champion Jonnatas Gracie - in Gracie's training home ground of Costa Mesa, CA.
