Five Reasons To Watch The WNO 29 Undercard
Five Reasons To Watch The WNO 29 Undercard
We name five reasons why jiu-jitsu fans cannot miss the WNO 29 undercard, going down free on YouTube July 25th live from Miami, FL

WNO 29: Rocha vs Dale is coming to Miami, Florida on July 25th and although the main card is packed with elite talent all ready to put on a show, there is an undercard that fans should also be excited for to begin the night. All four undercard matches will be airing live for free on the FloGrappling YouTube channel - and we have five big reasons why jiu-jitsu fans should be excited to watch.
1. Which 'Little Brother' Gets His Breakout Moment
To kick off the night, we have a really interesting one at lightweight where Matias Jimenez takes on Tristan Sainz. Both of these two have brothers on the main card; Matias is the younger brother of Roberto Jimenez and Tristan is the younger brother of Michael Sainz.
Both have had the chance to watch their brothers compete and win at very high levels as they themselves sharpen and train. Both of them have had some impressive performances leading up to this, but if you ask most grapplings fans they would still just know them as the younger brother of someone else. Now they get their opportunity to step into their own spotlight with a big win to kick off the night at WNO 29. These two have all the potential to steal the show in their nine minute match, as both bring a lot of pace and high flying action.
Tristan especially has been getting more opportunities lately, including inclusion in this spring's big $100,000 Sapateiro 155lb bracket. He also looked great at the inaugural ADCC Kid's Worlds, beating Felipe Goulart in what was the match of the tournament. Goulart is incredibly talented too, having won double gold at purple belt at IBJJF Worlds, winning light-feather and the open class.

2. Legend of the Game - JZ Cavalcante Returns

Gesias "JZ" Cavalcante is a legend in combat sports and it's very cool that we get to add WNO to the list of organizations he's competed for - which already includes StrikeForce, DREAM, Shooto, K-1, and more. The Miami-based black belt has also been active as a submission grappler in the past, participating in events like Quintet and KASAI. On July 25th, he is back taking on Jake O'Driscoll in the feature bout of the preliminary card.
Jake is a talented Australian leg locker who has worked extensively with athletes like Adele Fornarino. Now he gets a big opportunity to make his WNO with a win against a very notable fighter like JZ, who has competed against everyone from Shinya Aoki to Chad Mendes to Justin Gaethje.
3. Our First Look At 13-Year-Old Phenom Joselyn Molina
WNO 29 is going to have a preliminary match that breaks a record as we welcome our youngest competitor ever (not in a kid's match) in Joselyn "Baby Shark" Molina, only 13 years old, 6 months, and 9 days old on the day she makes the walk. Joselyn is a very exciting grappling prospect who is already winning adult open classes at ADCC Opens. Considering her age and how fast she has been able to reach this level, there's a lot of excitement about her potential - and now we all get a chance to see for ourselves at WNO 29.
Joselyn will be taking on Amy Grande of 10th Planet, who is more than twice her age. I think one of the biggest questions heading into this match is how someone her age is going to handle the pressure of the moment, of being under those bright lights with the paying audience watching. If she can deal with that - or even shine brighter - then it's likely her upper limits in this game are going to be sky high.
4. A Middleweight Scrap With Two High Pace Attackers
Do you guys wanna see a sub-only jiu-jitsu match between two tough middleweights who attack a lot? Then I have great news, we have one of those on the WNO 29 undercard when B-Team's Linus von Schrenk faces off with Andre Porfirio. Andre is a Florida local who competed at his first ADCC World Championships last year after putting on some show-stealing performances at the South American Trials - including a fantastic match between him and Achilles Rocha. He's facing Linus von Schrenk, who has been active on the regional circuit and the B-Team squad is very high on his potential. We have two guys who love attacking and putting on a show and I don't see this one possibly being boring.
5. It's Literally Free
What time is it? Free o'clock. Like all of our WNO undercards, all of these matches will be free on our YouTube channel for everyone to enjoy. After that, anyone with a membership can watch the main card exclusively on the website or app.
