UFC BJJ 2 Live Updates: Tackett Submits Canuto in Main Event

UFC BJJ 2 Results

Main event time, Andrew Tackett defends against Renato Canuto. Renato shoots immeidately, they trade a few takedowns before Renato snatches a kimura. Andrew defends with a body lock pass. He passes and tries to take the back but Renato escapes, still on bottom. They trade sweeps. Andrew steps into a pass to side control. They scramble and Andrew throws an omoplata from closed guard but Renato pulls out of it and stacks. Andrew reverses back on top and into side control. Andrew laces the darce choke. It's deep and he wins by submission.

David Garmo taking on Mason Fowler. Mason pulls David into a front headlock, then ankle picks him down and gets on top. He passes to turtle, sinks the hooks, and secures the rear naked choke for the win.

William Tackett and Kyle Chambers starting out, they collide in the middle but stabilize into Kyle in guard and William passing. William pummels his way to side control. Kyle back to half guard but William staying tight on top. He grips an arm triangle and transitions to the back and the rear naked choke for the submission win.

Mo Black out now against Raquel Canuto. Pronlonged hand foght. They hit the mat off an underhook from Black and Canuto rolls into a kneebar for the tap.

Kennedy Maciel and Ademir Barreto out now. Kennedy jumps kani basami but misses, he's just playing guard now. Ademir in a knee cut. Ademir hops on an ankle and falls back, Kennedy is grimacing but doesn't tap. Seems like he's survived. Kennedy falls back into his own X guard. Probably Ademir's round.

Second round. Ademir pulls. Kennedy into a stack, Ademir rolls and Kennedy follows to a back take attempt. He's got a seatbelt grip but Ademir reverses his way out. Kennedy shoots in, Ademir spins but Kennedy accepts bottom. He wrestles his way back up and is into side control as he stabilizes. Round will end here it's likely 1-1.

Third round. Kennedy shoots but Ademir's guillotine makes him pull - but he quickly wrestles up. They trade sweeps again. Both men tired. Kennedy finds an outside heel hook but moves to a kneebar. Ademir escapes. With under a minute, Kennedy wrestles up to the back using the pit wall.

France's Aurelie Le Vern out against Maggie Lira. Aurelie pulls to butterfly guard, Maggie tight passing. Maggie falls back into X guard but Aurelie rolls over the top with a shoulder crunch. She laces the Americana and gets the tap from half guard. Powerful.

Tammi Musumeci taking on Leilani Bernales now. Leilani coming in way below her normal weight class here. They go double pull and are leg pummeling. Tammi comes up but then falls back into an outside heel hook but Leilani uses the wall to force her way out. They continue to trade top position with leg lock attempts.

Second round, double pull again. Leilani is mixing standing up and falling back for legs, getting close on a toe hold. Tammi tries to use a waiter guard for a sweep but Leilani is too physical. Leilani jumps over the top for a shoulder crunch late but can't convert anything.  Round will end, it's likely 1-1.

Third round, double pull. Not much going on late. Tammi chases a few ankle locks. Tammi gets to waiter but Leilani clears. Late, Leilani jumps over the top but Tammi nearly turns that into her own back take.

Everton Teixeira is out to take on Jalen Fonacier in a battle of IBJJF World Champions. Jalen opens with a kani basami but Everton sees it coming and just accepts bottom as Jalen keeps falling back to ankles. He inverts his way into a 50/50 heel hook and taps him! Quick one for Jalen over Everton.
