5 Jiu-Jitsu Videos To Watch This Weekend | Grappling Watch Guide
Here are five videos from the jiu-jitsu world to help get you through the weekend!

The jiu-jitsu world is pumping out more content than ever before and boy oh boy is it a great time to be alive!
In this article I am going to give you five videos from the jiu-jitsu world to help get you through the weekend. I will try to include some classics from the crates, fresh drops you should be watching, and anything that caught my eye throughout the week! So without further ado, here are five videos from the jiu-jitsu world to watch this weekend!
1. Kingsway Jiu Jitsu Opening Day | Gordon Ryan
Go inside the official opening day of Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu in Austin, TX. This video was uploaded to Gordon Ryan’s channel a couple days ago and offers a great look into Gordon and New Wave’s new gym. It features the usual suspects: Gordan Ryan, Luke Griffith, John Danaher, and the rest of the New Wave crew.
One of my personal favorite parts is watching Jason Nolf slap on the gi and learn to tie his belt with the help of Luke Griffith and Gordon Ryan. Winning NCAA Championships may be hard, but tying that belt is a different beast!
2. ROLL: Jiu-Jitsu In SoCal | Eat Films
This is one of my all-time favorite jiu-jitsu flicks. This video was dropped over ten years ago in March 2015. It was also one of the first pieces of long-form jiu-jitsu content I remember watching and I had it on repeat. So I wanted to share it here just in case you haven’t seen it.
A few guys from the UK travel to Southern California and document the jiu-jitsu lifestyle in SoCal. I believe it is a collaborative piece by Eat Films and Progress Jiu-Jitsu.
It features legends of the game, including: Richard Bressler, Chris Haueter, Scott Nelson, Xande and Saulo Ribeiro, Leo Vieira, JT Torres, and so many other OGs of the game. It really is an incredible look into the SoCal jiu-jitsu scene of 2014.
One of my favorite parts is Richard Bressler telling some stories about Rickson Gracie and some of the original Gracie challenge matches.
I think this is a great option if you want to hear some great stories that only the OGs can really tell!
3. Beyond The Match: Roberto Jimenez Proves He’s The #1 Contender At 205 | FloGrappling
You know I had to throw on some of the freshest drops from FloGrappling on this list as well.
Big Slack Barrett has been in the lab cooking up this beyond the match that takes you behind the scenes of WNO 29 as Roberto Jimenez and Ryan Aitken are set to throw down for the #1 contender spot at 205lbs.
Roberto and Ryan are two guys that always bring the energy to their matches and Big Slack brings limitless style to his edits. Check this one out if you want to see an exclusive look into a huge matchup on the professional jiu-jitsu scene.
4. Gordon Ryan’s Supremacy May Be Over… | Chael Sonnen
We have Uncle Chael talking jiu-jitsu? Do I need to say more?
Chael’s undefeated, undisputed reign in the octagon can only be matched by his skills on the microphone. So when Chael is talking jiu-jitsu, I tune in.
In this episode, Chael dives into a potential matchup between Gordon Ryan and Mason Fowler and gives his takes on how he sees this one playing out. He gives the due respect to Gordon that he deserves, but it is clear that Chael has a lot of respect for Mason and wants to see this match happen. And who am I to disagree with The Bad Guy? I think this would obviously be a great match to see. Check out the full video if you want to see Uncle Chael’s full take on the matter.
5. You’ve Never Seen a High School Wrestling Dual Like This | FloWrestling
I am zagging on you guys a bit, and we are pulling from the wrestling community with this one. Who doesn’t like to mix in a little bit of wrestling content with their YouTube algorithm?
This video just rips, simple as that. FloWrestling’s Tyler Meisinger and JD Rader travel to Detroit Catholic Assembly on a quest to find the best high school wrestling dual in America.
This school knows how to get hype for a wrestling dual. They hold the dual as an assembly at 2PM so the entire student body can come and support their guys.
My favorite part of the video is this dude just staring down the camera. What a legend.

Tyler and JD did a great job with this one and I am stoked to see more from this series.
