-More information has come out about Izaak Michell's recent expulsion from Kingsway, as he has been accused of sexual assault by a former teammate and a 'violation of consent' from another woman in Texas who is outside of the jiu-jitsu community. This is an extremely serious matter that has been referred to the Austin Police Department for investigation. Anyone who believes they may have been affected is encouraged to seek support and report their experience to the appropriate authorities or a victim advocacy organization such as SAFE Austin.

-The IBJJF Absolute Grand Prix added its first two names, with Pedigo Submission Fighting's Michael Pixley and Six Blades's Victor Hugo joining the Grand Prix. -Cage Fury Grappling 16 went down in Philadelphia, PA, with the final pro grappling event of the year delivering all submission finishes on the main card. Highlights include Oliver Taza winning the main event by side triangle, Max Hanson bumping up two weights to win by heel hook, Joslyn Molina using her side arm triangle to win, and more.

-IBJJF & ADCC World Champion Bianca Basilio signed a contract with LFA (a UFC feeder organization) to make her MMA debut with the promotion. BIa was last in action in jiu-jitsu at ADCC 2024, earning a silver medal at -55kg.
