What's Happening In Jiu-Jitsu

-FloGrappling handed out the 2025 Year End Awards, with the following champions:

  • Male Grappler of the Year - Adam Wardzinski
  • Female Grappler of the Year - Helena Crevar
  • Match of the Year - Roberto Jimenez vs Adam Wardzinski, IBJJF Pans
  • Submission of the Year - Mica Galvåo's armbar at BJJ Stars 15
  • Breakthrough Grappler of the Year - Sarah Galvåo
  • Juvenile of the Year - Icaro Moreno

-Brackets are out for IBJJF Euros! It all goes down January 15-24th, streaming exclusively live from Lisbon, Portugal on FloGrappling. Find every bracket here.

-The IBJJF has announced more additions to their upcoming February absolute GP, including light-feather world champion Diego Pato and world no-gi champion Devhonte Johnson. There are two more men to be announced for the bracket, with six already in.

-At that same GP, AOJ's Mateo Cardona will take on 2025 Euros Champion Leo Souza of Six Blades in lightweight gi action.

-Tye Ruotolo will defend his ONE Championship promotional 185lb title against IBJJF No-Gi World Champion & ADCC Trials Champion Pawel Jaworski at ONE Fight Night 41, going down March 13th on Amazon Prime Video.

-Rafael Lovato Jr. made his wrestling debut for the OKC Stars in NAIA, going 2-1 at the NWCA National Duals. In Rafael's very first match, he beat the top-ranked NAIA heavyweight!

-Trials For ADCC Youth World Championships will happen in Brazil on March 22nd in Indaiatura.

-Marlon Tajik got his black belt from Andre Galvåo at Atos after a double gold run at IBJJF World No-Gi brown belt

-Francisco Lo won in the main event on F2W 301: Dallas, streaming live on FloGrappling.

-Levi Jones-Leary and Davis Asare are set to meet for the Polaris middleweight title at Polaris 35, happening January 31st on FloGrappling
