The entire IBJJF season leads up to the IBJJF World Championship, where history will be made, legacies will be secured, and moments will happen that fans remember forever. The entire tournament, including the marquee black belt brackets, will be going down live exclusively on FloGrappling May 28-31.
Registration is still open, but closing soon - this upcoming Monday. Many elite black belts have already entered but there's even more big names expected to throw their hats in the ring soon.
The IBJJF season has been absolutely explosive this season, with monumental upsets and some classic performances. The women's absolute has taken center stage at all three majors this year, with the reigning queen of gi jiu-jitsu Gabi Pessanha carrying a 2-1 record against rookie Sarah Galvao in the finals. Now, last year's absolute finalist Tayane Porfirio will also be in the mix and anything could happen.
Only four black belts have won every IBJJF major so far this season. They are:

- Ashlee Funegra
Because the IBJJF considers the competition calendar to begin at Worlds and end at Brasileiros, this tournament begins a new official Grand Slam season - meaning whoever wins this event will need to win the 2027 Euros, Pans, and Brasileiro to become an official Grand Slam Champion.
