What's Happening In Jiu-Jitsu
-The ADCC Youth Worlds went down in Austin, TX, with AOJ winning the kid's team title. This comes just a few weeks after they won the team title at IBJJF Kid's Pans. AOJ has clearly cemented themselves as the best kid's competition team in the world right now.
-Some of the most notable individual champions included Icaro Moreno, Daniel 220, James Ortiz, Chingy Sainz, and Zoe Freeman. The future of grappling was on full display with some incredible matches - still archived on FloGrappling.
-Stars showed out at the ADCC Austin Open as well, including gold medal performances from Dorian Olivarez, Placido Santos, Abe La Montagne, and Ally Wolski.
-The IBJJF has officially announced that the 2026 Crown, their premier invitational event, will take place Sunday, November 8th.
-UFC contender Diego Lopes has signed up for IBJJF World Master Championships, going down early next month on FloGrappling.
-IBJJF announced that Jiu-Jitsu Con will feature a seminar from Carlson Gracie, Jr and Sergio Zimmerman, Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida, and TLI's Elijah Dorsey and Malachi Edmond.
-Murilo Bustamante received his 8th-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, the red & white belt. Congratulations to the Brazilian Top Team master.
-Busy weekend for IBJJF Opens, with action in San Diego, Chicago, and Floripa.
-AIGA announced several super fights for an upcoming event on September 20th, Bre Stikk vs Olesia Zhuravleva and Maria Luiza vs Khanna Kaskinova.
