The brackets for the 2015 ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championships were released today, not without some controversy.
Adding to the drama are a number of explosive early draws that leave much uncertainty over how each category will play out.
To eliminate close-outs of divisions ADCC seeds teammates early in brackets, and this year sees a number of well-known competitors up against their comrades.
Gracie Barra s AJ Agazarm will face off with Otavio Sousa in the first round of the 77kg division, while GB reps Felipe Pena and Robert Tussa will fight in the first round of the +99kg.
In what promises to be an exciting match Dillon Danis and Garry Tonon will meet in their first match, marking the first time the New Yorkers have faced each other in competition. Their match follows a heated war of words on social media, ensuring a thrilling contest.
The other main talking point is the last-minute dropout of Bernardo Faria, one of the favorites for the +99kg division. The Alliance heavyweight suffered a foot injury earlier this week, and will be replaced by Dominican Abraham Marte.
All fighters are on weight and there are no other last minute reported changes.
