Remember how Augusto 'Tanquinho' Mendes recently signed for the UFC to make a last-minute debut, then pulled out only 24 hours later? 

Well the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and world champion confirmed today that he's now officially making his UFC debut this weekend! 

Posting on Instagram, Tanquinho explained that he'll fight Cody Garbrandt on UFC Fight Night 83, scheduled for Sunday night. Mendes replaces John Lineker, who pulled out after contracting dengue fever. 

Tanquinho is 5-0 as an MMA fighter with four submissions. The fight will take place in the 135lb division.
