Roger Gracie took his MMA record to 8-2-0 last night by winning the One FC title in Singapore. The veteran black belt, who is a 10-time black belt world champion in jiu-jitsu and a two-time ADCC champion, defeated Polish MMA fighter Michal Pasternak by arm triangle choke in just over two minutes of the first round.
Of Gracie's eight MMA wins, he has won six by submission – an armbar, three rear-naked chokes and two arm-triangle chokes. Pasternak was previously undefeated until meeting Gracie. By beating the Polish fighter, he won the vacant light heavyweight (205lb) One FC title.
When in Singapore, Gracie trains at the Evolve MMA gym with UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, a former resident of the South East Asian country.
