Erberth Santos walked away from the Sao Paulo BJJ Pro this weekend as champion of the black belt heavyweight division, picking up a cool R$4000 (about $1200) in prize money. 

Here you can see Erberth hit a very sweet flying triangle on the tough Ruan Marques of Soul Fighters. The submission meant Santos won his division, just 6 days out from the Copa Podio Middleweight Grand Prix in Argentina. 

Even more amazing was that just one week ago, Erberth was in a serious auto wreck that saw his car flip five times on an interstate highway. 

Erberth is in the green group next weekend and will face Claudio Calasans in his first match of the tournament. Also in his division are Diego Borges, Dan Borovic and John Combs.
