Ultra heavyweight Joao Gabriel Rocha will partake in his first submission-only jiu-jitsu match at Fight To Win Pro 17 in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday.

Going up against Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu/Team Lovato standout James Puopolo, the ADCC 2015 absolute division silver medalist Rocha says he's excited to fight without points for the first time in his career.

I really like this format, because it really lets the game flow. People aren't so afraid of making mistakes, because it's only the finish that counts.

"I never fought Puopolo, only with his teacher Rafael Lovato Jr.," Rocha said. "From what I've seen of him, he's an athlete that looks for the finish, just like me. I doubt this fight will go to a judges' decision."
